Children filmfest announces nominees

The 31st edition of the International Film Festival for Children and Youth has announced nominees in the national competition section.

The nominated films and cineastes are selected by votes of the jury, including Marzieh Boroumand, Behrouz Shoeibi, Sahar Asr-Azad, Shabnam Moqaddami, and Soroush Sehhat. The nominations are as follows:

 

Best Children Film:

'White-Forehead Deer' produced by Seyyed-Javad Hashemi

'Pastarioni' produced by Bita Mansouri

'Stutter' produced by Mahmoud Fotouhi-Shahabad

 

Best Youth Film:

'Ordakly' produced by Ali Hazrati

'Rondure' produced by Hossein Qenaat

'KO' produced by Gholam-Reza Ramezani

 

Best Script:

'Pastarioni' written by Hamzeh Salehi

'Rondure' written by Hossein Qenaat

'KO' written by Gholam-Reza Ramezani and Mitra Teimourian

'Stutter' written by Maral Sajjadi

 

Best Director:

Hossein Qenaat for 'Rondure'

Soheil Movaffaq for 'Pastarioni'

Vahid Nikkhah-Azad for 'Third Person Absent'

Best Short Film:

'Like a Good Kid' directed by Arian Vazir-Daftari

 

Jointly organized by Farabi Cinema Foundation, Isfahan Municipality and Iran Organization of Cinema and Audiovisual Affairs, the festival includes national and international competition sections.

Thematic priorities of the event are promotion of ethics, family values, humanitarianism, self confidence, social responsibility and environmental awareness.

The 31st edition of the International Film Festival for children and Youth has been slated for August 30-September 5, 2018, in the Iranian city of Isfahan.
